Transmission lines and power transformer

Description

The equipment reproduces two high voltage transmission lines with possibility to change the parameters. It enables to learn and experiment, using reduced-size components, on the characteristics and control of the high voltage distribution power networks.

The different installed electrical devices, partially connected between them and to safety terminals, become operative with extremely simple and fast operations and offer the possibility to change the parameters and the circuits at user’s need.

The energy transport with insulated lines (IT system) completes with a three-phase transformer with different possible connections to the primary and secondary circuit.

The front panel is made in aluminum alloy. Using the international electrical symbols two models of the line for high voltage electric power transmission are represented. With standardized teaching terminals and U-bolts with protection degree against accidental contacts, it is possible to use the lines alone or in series/parallel mode. Acting on level switches, the electrical parameters (resistance, inductance and capacity) can be changed according to the different sections and lengths of the line. The presence of voltage is signaled by signaling lamps, while the protection against overloads is carried out by quick acting fuses.
